Colchester Park and Ride

Client: Colchester, VT
Project Span: 2017-2018

Located on the west side of Routes 2 & 7 in Colchester VT, construction activities on this $1M project included installation of new traffic signals, electric vehicle charging stations, a bus shelter and bicycle racks.

EIV provided construction inspection and office engineering services on this project which presented some challenges throughout construction including ledge removal and invasive species removal and disposal. EIV assured that all elements of this project were conducted safely and effectively. Due to the nature of this project, a considerable amount of layout and surveying was required, and EIV staff developed an increased proficiency with total station, (an electronic/optical instrument used in surveying and designed for measuring of slant distances, horizontal and vertical angles and elevations).
